I like the show and the DVD but one disc was scratched making two episodes skip and stick.

Season 3 definitely makes an interesting chapter in Dean & Sam Winchester's lives. So far every season has pushed the bar forward, & season 3 is no exception. I couldn't help but scoot a little closer to the edge of my seat with every episode I watched! If you're considering buying season 3 I would suggest you follow these simple steps first: watch seasons 1 & 2 first..... & make sure you have season 4 ready to go!

i love this season of show.. the sctors are all good and it's the best thing to watch on dvd over and over... if u like a show that will keep on guled than this is it... finally something on the cw network i can watch over and over and the cast is so hot... the first and second season are just as good as the 3 also.

Really showcases the bond between these two brothers Jun 09, 2010
In Season 3, many demons have been released into the world. If the Winchester brothers thought they had their hands full before, they haven't seen anything yet. This is also the season where we meet 3 influential women: Ruby, Lilith and Bella. Of the three, Ruby is the most intriguing because it's unclear if she should be trusted or not (after all, she is a demon).
This season is much gorier than the first two. There are two decapitations and one is done with someone's bare hands. There's another scene where one of the brothers enters a basement full of dismembered body parts.
The increase in gore is understandable. This is a horror series and there's probably an expectation from fans to increase the violence each season. What bothers me, though, is the violence against women on this show. I understand the women getting beat up are demons, but still, there's a risk people could become desensitized from seeing a woman get her face and body punched.
And speaking of fight scenes, what's unrealistic about this show (besides the supernatural element) is how these brothers can get into serious fights and walk away relatively unscathed. They get punched, thrown across the room, and in the next scene, they just have one scratch on them and can walk fine, with no broken bones.
I've noticed the lighting of the scenes have gotten brighter. I wonder if the producers got complaints for being too dark. The darkness didn't bother me too much, but having brighter scenes is refreshing. It gives my eyes a break.
I like noticing the different changes in each episode. For example, it's fun noticing how each hotel room the Winchester brothers stay in is decorated. It's also fun noticing how the supernatural logo at the beginning keeps changing, too. For example, in Season 1, the logo shook around. In Season 2, it was surrounded by a burst of fire. And now, in Season 3, a 5-pointed star appears in the lettering, the letters drip, and there's smoke in the background with a sound effect that sounds like a monster groaning. In the Christmas episode, the logo changes again to match a Christmas theme, too.
The show is still copying other movies like Final Destination and The 6th Sense, but in the episode where we meet the Trickster for the second time, at least they admit they're stealing from the movie, Groundhog's Day.
The acting on this show keeps improving each season. These two actors are very believable as brothers. You see them fight and get on each other's nerves, but there's also great love and loyalty there, which is really highlighted this season. I even found myself getting teary-eyed in some places. So, the storylines keep improving each season, too.

I am very pleased with the PQ on this BLU-RAY 3rd season of Supernatural. Howver, I cannot seem to get a menu of any kind, so once I put in the disc, I have to watch all the episodes in order... can't take a break or call up specific episodes... am I unique in this? do you other buyers share this? - I hope the manufacturer will fix this for the other Blu-Ray seasons cause this sucks! Otherwise, I would have rated 5 stars...
