5Not needed, but found an alternate use  Dec 25, 2012 By audiobookjunkie
I bought this to use with a new MP3 player while doing yard work. I used to stick my old player in an old Marware case that I put in my pants pocket. The earphone cord was too long, and even putting it under my shirt, the cord was always getting yanked out of the player, my ears or both. The case was falling apart and grungy from dirt and grass clippings. I thought this would be better since I could hang it around my neck and wind the earphone cord up with twist-ties to shorten it. I didn't end of keeping the new player, but the case works well for protecting my flip phone. I don't hang it around my neck, but I can slip it into my pocket, purse or fanny pack. It's quick and easy to remove when the phone rings. The old leather phone holster I used before always make my skin itch where the clip touched my waist. This case has a loop for attaching to a belt. The cord and ring clip can be removed. I bought a tiny little clamp at Home Depot so that I can clip the holder to other items, including my clothes. It's really quite versatile.
