2Cute but not a good handball at all-little bounce!  Jul 18, 2011 By Papa and Mama 03
As noted, the ball is very cute but unless your child is very young and only intends to roll it and play with Mom, Dad or loved ones it's just not functional as a handball. The exterior is pretty hard, prob to enable the great graphics, but it doesn't bounce well at all.

Calling this a handball isn't really correct either, our daughter is almost 8 years old and we have to really slam it to get a mediocre bounce against a wall so you can well imagine it's not very fun to try and just play some handball with your child in this manner. And if it's for kids to use with other kids, prob even worse, as really think the way the ball dies out quickly off a general bounce, and strength needed to use it, will quickly deter them to another game.

Melissa and Doug should deliver better here, it's not just about the look, it's about what it IS-a plaything.

BTW, ours wasn't flattish to explain this, the ball is just really like this by nature of manufacture.

Shame as it's great looking otherwise.

Thanks, good luck, God bless!

2Disapointed  Apr 18, 2012 By sandabear
This ball was gotten for my neices, ages 4 and 2. They liked playing with it, but it won't stay inflated. And a deflated ball is not much fun to play with.

3Popped after one day of use  Jun 08, 2011 By Megan
We bought this ball for a family party and while the kids had a good time, it didn't even last to the final person leaving. My sister-in-law's dog tried to grab it and it popped immediately. Now, I realize these are not meant for dogs, but I wouldn't expect it to pop just from a dog trying to pick it up in its mouth. I normally love M&D toys but this doesn't seem as durable as it should be for the material it's made from.

5great ball, eye catching  Mar 07, 2013 By Loraine "RedLeatherJacket"
My preschooler was thrilled when he opened the Amazon box. At first he just cuddled it and talked to it like it was one of his stuffed animals. When we took it outside to play he first tried to protect it's face, but soon was enthusiastically throwing it through his basketball hoop and kicking it around the yard. It is a typical playground ball. Tough. Best for kicking. Captivates the neighborhood kids ages 3-12.

5Adult Kickball!  Jan 28, 2013 By Megan E. Mitchell
some friends and I wanted to play kickball and I bought this because its ridiculous. Its not quite the 10" regulation size but for friends playing around it was great.
