5Great Rentals entry  May 01, 2010
If you love the rentals, you know that there isn't much rentals, but what there is is fantastic, so you'll love this disc. They cover a song from the first rentals album, and add in 3 new songs. Really strong disc, every song is 4 or 5 stars. My only complaint is that this wasn't a full album. My favorite song on the disc is a toss up between life without a brain and little bit of you.

4Worth It  Feb 19, 2009
If you ever were a fan of The Rentals and their great full length cd's you owe it to yourself to plop down[...] and get their final recordings (or at least I would assume their final recordings). Sure its only 4 songs but its still worth it, Matt and friends did a good job of capturing that sound they found on the first album and reminding us of how good it was.

4It's alright...  Mar 29, 2008
It's a good start after being gone for so long. If you liked 7 more minutes, you should like this. If the only song by the Rentals you know is "Friends of P", you might want to go get some 90's alternative hits cd. They put on a great show when I saw them in Detroit.

4A second opinion  Feb 09, 2008
As of this writing, this EP had just one review here on Amazon, of a single star. I couldn't let this go uncorrected. This is the first Rentals recording in several years, and no, it might not sound like the band's most memorable songs, but it is a decent disc. "Life Without a Brain" is a highlight for me, and almost worth the $5 I paid for it. See the band live if you have the chance, you won't be sorry.

1Not what I thought  Jan 12, 2008
I bought this album and honestly hadn't listened to the Rentals in quite awhile. I was a fan back in the 90s but this album just honestly isn't very good. Maybe to some people will really enjoy it, but it honestly doesn't do anything for me personally. The lyrics are terrible, the songs make no sense. And the overall sound of these songs are so weird. They just suck, plain and simple. Really disappointed.
