I recently purchased this for my 2 year old son who is in to anything Toy Story.....for now.
It's a very nice alternative to the $25+ toys that they also sell. Especially when smaller kids' interests swing considerably every few months. It's nice to have an inexpensive option for him before Christmas and especially when Disney is trying to squeeze as much money out of the new Toy Story 3 release as they possibly can.
Pros
- Seems very durable. The arm and legs swivel but there aren't any tiny part or other moving pieces to break
- Price. Although I've seen this cheaper, it's not too expensive to pick up as an impulse buy to get your child something that they will think is the coolest toy in the world.
- Size. It's only about 4 inches tall or so. The more expensive ones are very large and seem too big IMO. My son moves the arms out and flies Buzz around our living room in one hand.
Cons
- Price. Had to put this here for those looking for cons. It can be found cheaper at some stores.
- Limitations. If you have a child who is older, this may not be a good toy. Younger kids have limited imaginations and this toy is perfect for the simple flight around the room or just sitting in their lap while they watch the movie. If you child is older, I can see this toy being a bit boring.
Overall I give this 4 stars. I knocked it a bit for amazons price being higher than a lot of stores I've seen it at (for those super-cost conscious shoppers). I also took a bit off for it's age limitations (this can be a pro for some and a con for others. Take your pick). I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars.
Overall, a very cheap and simple toy.

This is a simple toy but perfect for kids with great imaginations, for growing imaginations and for alternatives to expensive models that will not stimulate the childrens imagination and allow it to grow. My son has the larger version with all the sayings also and forgot about it quickly and it went in the toy box. He "imagines" more with this toy and it will get a lot more use for a lot less price!
Remember to compare how many hours of play you'll get out of a toy to the cost. For example, he's probably played about 10 hours total so far with this toy and it only cost $12 so about $1.20/hour compared to the 7 hours with the $70 toy at about $10/hour. Definitely no comparison so far. He's only had both about a week and a half but you see my point. Hope this helps when you are shopping! :)

The toy looks durable and well made, but the problem is that arms don't bend in elbows and legs don't bend in knees, and the movement is very limited while in the description it clearly says full articulation.

Lost a Leg Within a Week Jan 09, 2013

First this does NOT fit the Buzz LIghtyear spaceship. You would need one about 1" smaller to fit in the drivers seat of the ship. We made it work but within a week his leg broke off. Grandson was disappointed that the helmet didn't come down too. Waste of money.

My 4 year old daughter is obsessed with Buzz Lightyear. This action figure is a great toy! Granted, he doesn't do a whole lot. I gave her this Buzz when she was barely 2 and she loves it just as much now, if not more than she did back then. We love love love him.
My only complaint is that my daughter plays a lot with her Buzz, he goes everywhere with us, and because of that we are currently on Buzz #4 because the legs break off after about 5-6 months. That hasn't been a problem because these guys are cheap to replace at $9.99, but amazon recently has raised the price (currently $35). Hopefully the price drops down again soon!
